We have designated Mike Whalen our events director because he is a super fun guy. Ask anyone.

What we have in mind for events with the MCA are Picnic & hikes along watersheds of inland Cisco lakes, maybe even around the shores of the Great Lakes where Cisco fishing can be productive.

We would also like to embark on a few fishing trips for the local folks on some inland lakes and in the bays of the Great Lakes for Cisco fishing.   Raffles, bake sales as well as other funding mechanisms will also be proposed and posted.

MCA will hold semi-annual meetings/dinners every six months if this turns out to be feasible.

See calendar below for events coming up.

Cisco Fishing Outing

Please let us know if you can provide a boat or canoe.

Check out their site, this seems to be a serious community about protecting their lake. Their lake science page is here; https://harwoodlake.org/business-associates/

Fishing outing on April 20 at Harwood Lake, Cass County. MCA will bring a 16’ Lowe flat bottom boat for about 3 people. Please be licensed as an angler thru the Michigan DNR. Please bring proper life jackets. Bait will be provided, but spoons and other tackle not so much. You should have a light weight to medium action spinning rod. Line should be light; 4-8 lbs. Flashy spoons, small silver spoons and ice jigs with bait is good for Ciscoes. This will be our equipment for this outing. There is a landing, please look up online where that is.

We will meet there at 8: a.m. weather permitting, April 20.
